Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We keep it short and honest.

What we do

Momentous Gifts makes custom AI songs as gifts. You answer a few questions about someone you love. Our AI writes the lyrics and produces a song. You get a private gift page with the song, a lyric video, and an MP3 download.

What we collect

Information you give us:

• Your email address
• Your answers and story (the name, relationship, occasion, memories, style, mood, voice preference, pronunciation notes, and optional "from" name you provide)
• Photos, dates, captions, and letters you upload (if you add the video letter)
• The email address of the person your gift is for, if you schedule the gift to be emailed to them. We use it only to deliver that gift. They are never added to our email list.
• A thank-you video or note, if the person your gift is for sends you one. We keep it private and show it only to you. We share a video only if its sender ticks the box that lets us.

Information we create from your input:

• AI generated lyrics
• AI generated audio (your song)
• A karaoke style lyric video

Information collected automatically:

• IP address and browser user agent at checkout
• Pinterest click ID at checkout (used only for ad measurement)
• The time, IP address, and browser of the first MP3 download (kept as proof for refund and chargeback purposes)
• Cookies from the Pinterest tag on our pages (except private gift pages)
• Cookies and session data from Microsoft Clarity analytics on our pages (except private gift pages). Clarity records how visitors use the site (clicks, scrolls, mouse movement). Text fields are masked in those recordings.
• Hashed email and IP address used for rate limit counters

Payment information:

Stripe handles all payments. We never see or store your card number. We keep your Stripe order ID, the amount paid, and the tax charged.

How we use your information

• To create your song, lyric video, and gift page
• To send you order emails (receipt, order confirmed, delivery notification)
• To send reminders about an unfinished song (for example, if you made a free preview but haven't purchased yet). These emails include an unsubscribe link.
• If you tick "Send me gift ideas and special offers," to send you gift ideas and offers. You can unsubscribe from any of these emails at any time.
• To measure ad performance through Pinterest's Conversions API (we send a hashed email, IP address, and user agent to Pinterest at checkout)
• To understand how visitors use the site through Microsoft Clarity analytics
• To process payments and calculate tax through Stripe
• To verify download activity for refund and chargeback requests

Who we share data with

We use these services to run Momentous Gifts:

• Vercel: hosts the site and stores files
• Stripe: processes payments and calculates tax
• Resend: sends order and reminder emails
• Klaviyo: our email list, and reminder and offer emails
• OpenRouter and Google: AI models that write lyrics and produce music
• Groq: times the lyrics to the audio for the lyric video
• Pinterest: measures ad performance (Conversions API and on-site tag)
• Microsoft Clarity: site analytics (session recordings and heatmaps)

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Cookies

We use cookies from the Pinterest tag and Microsoft Clarity on the public pages of the site. Private gift pages do not have these cookies or tracking scripts.

Your private gift page

Your gift page is private by link. Anyone who has the link can play the song and watch the lyric video. You (the buyer) control who gets the link.

Your private story is not shown on the gift page.

How long we keep your data

We keep your song, lyric video, and gift page available so the gift keeps working for the person who received it.

If you want us to delete your song, photos, and personal data, email hello@momentousgifts.com. We will delete it within 30 days. We may keep records required for tax and payment purposes.

If you receive a refund, your song and gift page are turned off.

Children

Momentous Gifts is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Buyers must be 18 or older, or have a parent's permission to make a purchase.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version with a new effective date at the top. Your continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
